Alcohol and toothache

Alcohol might look like an odd word in the world of dentistry and toothache and those people who are not into drinking would find it very disgusting. But not many people know that alcohol can help with problems and pains from wisdom tooth, gum diseases, etc. The following are some of the facts relating to alcohol and toothache:

1. Alcohol has those anti bacterial and astringent properties which are very useful in curing problems relating to the tooth.

2. The kinds of alcohol that can be used for curing toothaches are whiskies and brandies.

3. This might look sort of strange to some people but it really does work and relieves you from the excruciating pain of toothaches.

4. Cure for toothache through alcohol means that you should apply some alcohol on the affected part and not just gulp one full bottle of whiskey. Cure through alcohol does not mean that one has to get drunk. In fact it is imperative that even a single drop of alcohol does not enter your body as that would create some serious consequences.

5. One can dab the alcohol on the affected part by either using the fingers or by using a piece of cotton. If you are using cotton, then ensure that the cotton is dipped and soaked with alcohol and placed exactly between the cheek and the affected area.

6. If this method is not comfortable enough and if you think that you can take in some alcohol through the cotton, then it is better to use the alcohol as a mouthwash.
